Many cultures have their "gypsies".
Whether it is the Egyptian gahwahzee, The Romani or the Khaleegy from the Gulf region as well as, they distinguish
themselves by their nomadic nature and their rebellishness from the mainstream and perhaps why they appeal and
have influenced heavily the American Tribal Style of dance. There are dancers of wide and varying natures from
the "hair" dancers and the dizzying swirling whirling dervishes of Persia. Costumes vary from
large colorful skirts, long coats, turbans. Props such as zils, canes, shamadan, veils and swords are also used.
